If you're building your own Farrier, you will notice that my transom gudgeon box is a lot taller than the plans show.  This is because I've extended the transom well beyond the last form frame, so the rocker means there's less distance between the hull bottom and the cockpit floor.  I've also sloped the cockpit floor more than specified, because my transom is going to be open and I want to be sure that water will drain right out the back.  However, I still need to maintain the same distance between upper gudgeon and lower gudgeon as specified in the plans, because of the mechanics of the loads on the rudder.

If I was doing it all over again, I would just raise the cockpit floor and the cockpit seats about 6".
