Bagging a Panel

Coating the foam with a resin/microballoon mix.
Weighing the fabric.
Preparing materials: breather/bleeder, perforated releas film, and peel ply.
Saturating the first layer. With multiple layers, put at least 60% of the resin in the first layer and let the bag squeeze it up through the layers, so you're guaranteed not to have voids inside the laminate.
Saturating the second layer.
The forward CMM has a section that's cut out for a passageway to the bow, so I laminated this from glass scraps.
Applying the release film: pull tight and squeegee to prevent wrinkles.
Applying the breather and bag.
Crimping the bag with the heated bag sealer.
Drawing the initial vacuum. Note that the vacuum port isn't directly over the laminate, and that there's a thick pad of breather under the port.
Complete vacuum.
