Building the Transom

 

The transom is made from two pieces of foam attached to a central piece of marine plywood (I used birch) which gives a strong attachment point for a small outboard engine.

Here's the transom pattern stuck to the foam with pins, ready for tracing.

Look closely and you can see the line from the pattern.

The transom shape cut out.

And installed, but not yet glassed.
